​Fotoautomat Portugal is a small, independent, woman-owned company founded by Hannah — a lifelong photobooth enthusiast and self-portraiture artist. As the primary booth technician, she maintains this hulking machine daily the way one might tend to a stubborn old piano. With patience. With grease under the fingernails. And with the nerdy conviction that the tangible still matters.

In the digital age of filters and disappearing social media stories, the analog photobooth endures. Fewer than 300 analog photobooths known to still exist on the planet, Most tucked in the corner of some bar...humming low, pressing silver onto paper like it remembers something we don’t.
